To effectively promote an ezine, you need to give it a home of it's own. Dedicate at least one page on your Web site exclusively to your ezine (even consider creating a new site for it). Put a subscription form, a good benefit-laden description, subscriber testimonials and details of any free incentives you offer for subscribing. Consider adding a cover image for your publication as they have been shown increase subscriptions.
Choose a few highly-targeted, relevant keyword phrases and sprinkle them throughout the page, especially near the top in the first paragraph of text. Put your most important keywords in the page title, in a level one <H1> heading and in image "alt" tags. Submit the page to search engines, and you've created a new avenue to get subscribers!
