Hello again,
I think the Infoseek/Go spider, Sidewinder, must have been
reading last week. No sooner had I told you how Google was
rapaciously devouring the web, and the Now Sell web site along
with it, than Sidewinder arrived. And boy did it arrive! Not to
be outdone by GoogleBot, it spidered 435 pages. Since I only have
around two hundred, it must have crawled some pages several
times.
I've never before seen Sidewinder so industrious, and can only
make a guess at two possible explanations for this sudden burst
of activity. Either Infoseek has been largely ignoring me in the
past (few of my pages are indexed with them, even though I have
two 3-star listings in the Go directory); or a large update of
their database is in the pipeline. Time will tell.
Dogpile and Mamma are two lesser known search engines that have
recently begun to send a reasonable amount of traffic my way.
After examining the phrases searched on, this is almost certainly
due to the two meta services returning results from pay-per-click
search engines.
I bid for listings on several of these, and this is one of the
hidden bonuses. Another is being listed on the sites of numerous
partners that display their results. As I've said before, if
you're looking at paid advertising, PPC SE's offer the best value
for money online today.
Oh, and in case you've been trying to access the last three
issues of Biz Bits online, you can't. 'Cos they ain't there!
Sorry. I completely forgot about making the web pages! I'll do
them all together after I've sent out this issue. The spiders
seem particularly eager to see them. Either that or they can't
accept failure. Unbelievably, they've requested those few pages
over 18,000 times! Wild.

NLP Motivational Tip by Jan Tincher
Asking is the beginning of receiving.
It's like pushing a button to start your mental and emotional
workings. Receiving is not the problem. Failing to ask is.
Receiving is like an ocean, there's plenty to go around. Except
some people go to the ocean with a teaspoon. If you are one of
those people, why not exchange your teaspoon for a bucket?
You'll look better and stand taller when you make that stretch
from the beach (asking) to the ocean (receiving).
Don't you usually get more when you look good and stand tall?
