Niche Articles From PLR eBooks

Article marketing or "bum marketing" as it's now more popularly known is an effective strategy that revolves around submitting niche articles to numerous article directories.

The only downsides are the time (or money) it takes to create the articles, and the time required to submit them.

In reality, the latter doesn't need to take that long if you only submit to the handful of top directories most favored by the search engines, and in any case, you can get free software to do the submission part for you.

But unless you have the money to pay other people to write for you, creating enough articles to make the strategy effective can soon become a headache.

I'm sure you're ahead of me by now, realizing that using private label content for your articles makes the whole thing much easier. However, I'd caution you against simply using PLR article packs for this, unless you know they have a very limited distribution.

Article directories are places where people congregate, both to post and read articles. As such the chances of more than one person submitting the same article, or readers coming across duplicates are far greater than normal. Some directories actually check for duplicates anyway, so unless you're the first to post your private label article, it will be rejected.

Generally speaking, PLR article packs are best used in email, where the likelihood of a reader coming across the same thing elsewhere is greatly reduced. (Try here and here for quality limited sales PLR article packs you can buy individually).

Using Private Label eBooks For Niche Articles

For submissions to article directories, a smarter way is to cull your articles from a PLR ebook.

To my mind, there are two ways to do this, depending on what you want from your submissions. If you're simply looking to get backlinks from the article directories themselves, you can pretty much just copy and paste a few paragraphs from a PLR ebook, edit it a little so that it flows well, and you're done.

Alternatively, if your goal is also to get other people to download your article and use it on their website, or in their newsletter, you are better off using the condensing technique I talked about for making short reports from a PLR ebook.

That way you'll end up with articles that are more interesting and compelling than ones that are almost verbatim copies of entire pages pulled from the original ebook. Put simply, they will be of higher quality and much more likely to be republished by other webmasters, carrying the links in your resource box far and wide.

Whichever route you choose, a single PLR ebook can provide you with many different articles all covering different aspects of the same subject. And of course you can also mix and match from different PLR source files.
