Creating Podcasts, Audio Books & More From PLR Content

This is an area that is often overlooked and as such enables you to provide something unique without really being unique at all!

Podcasts are audio files, usually in MP3 format, that are made available for download to a user's computer or MP3 player via links syndicated through RSS feeds (the name is derived from a combination of iPod and broadcasting).

Podcasting is basically audio blogging, and like the RSS feed of a regular blog, your podcast feed can be subscribed to for receiving the latest updates. It can also be made available to people who've never visited your site through third party aggregators like PodCast.com.

At the most basic level, you can simply record yourself sitting at your computer reading a PLR article on your chosen topic, and then upload it ready for syndication. Better still, you can take a private label ebook and read a chapter at a time, creating episodes. Assuming your content is of interest, you've instantly assured yourself of a loyal following as people wait for the next installment!

Alternatively, you could organize the PLR content you'll be using into a question and answer format such as, "Your Top Ten Web Hosting Questions Answered" and record yourself asking and then answering the questions. Bring in another person to ask the questions and now you have yourself as an expert being interviewed!

Here's another twist: Do exactly the same thing, but instead of going the podcast route, you make the files available as an Audio eCourse, with a link to the current installment in each of your autoresponder messages. Easy, different – and you get to put affiliate links in your emails as well!

Sell Audio Books

The quality of low-priced and free audio recording software available for home computers these days makes it easy to take a PLR ebook, record yourself reading it, and then upload the audio file for sale as an audio book (If you have a Mac use the built-in Garageband software with its excellent audio processors).

In fact, you can make recordings of any of the reports or ebooks you've already created from PLR content, and offer those for sale as standalone audio books, as free gifts for joining your list, or as bonuses to the original reports or other products.

In case you're thinking, "This all sounds great, but who wants to hear me reading a book they can read for themselves?" the answer is lots of people. Busy people. People always on the go. People who find it hard to find the time to just sit down and read. They love the idea of being able to learn by listening to their MP3 player (or computer) whilst doing something else.

Burn Audio Books Onto CD

These days many people can also listen to MP3's in their car whilst driving, but if you want to cater to those who can't, or who just aren't "into" MP3 and prefer CD's, use your computer to burn your recordings onto CD's and sell those as well.

You'll be amazed to learn just how cheap and easy selling your own CD's can be. If you use a short run CD duplication specialist you'll find prices start from only around $30 including shipping for 10 printed CD's and inserts. Initially you just want to order a small number like this to see how sales go, and then order more as needed, the cost per CD going down the more you order at once.

Since tangible products received in the mail have a much higher perceived value than digital downloads, you'll also get an added bonus of being able to charge proportionately more for these than the increased cost of production. You'll also get few refund requests because buyers have to return the CD to claim.
