As the day went on, it did not seem like a busy day, but looking back at things, wow - did a lot take place! Here is what I wrote today.

I wrote a longer piece on PageRank, which I hope people take time to read. I reported that Yahoo! is working on a new keyword tool, Overture tool is dying and Wordtracker released a free version. YPN started showing completely unique ads on the same page. Google Local gets bolder with reviews and a larger presence in the search results. Site Explorer added some nice features. Yahoo! said the no yahoo directory tag is coming soon, again. Gmail supports Google Docs and Spreadsheets, include Microsoft Word and Excel. Google, Microsoft and Yahoo! asked the US government for some help with international censorship. Gmail locked out some greasemonkey users and accidently deleted Gmail contacts. Yahoo is going to build a “brand universe”. Google isn’t allowed to use the name Gmail in Europe. Keyword counts and SEO really don’t play a huge part. YPN Limit maximum number of Ad Units Per Page to 3

YPN have today announced policy changes - the main change being that you are now only allowed to place a maximum of three YPN ad units on any single page at a time. This is the same maximum that AdSense allows on a page at any given time (unless you have special permission to do more).
