Allen Tsai reports that immediately after switching to YPN, he received an email from Adsense “Wanting to discuss over the phone ways to improve earnings.”

Having been informed by Allen that the benefit he found in YPN was CPC, and so optimizing ads to increase CTR would be unlikely to change things, Google replied:

“Yes, we have the regular optimization tips, but we have advanced features and other tricks in our bag that Yahoo doesn’t offer which can help boost your revenue. Let’s just try out some of these tricks (when you get back) and see what we can do.”

Interesting …

If that is the case, why would Google keep quiet about these advanced features? You would have thought Adsense would like everyone to know how to maximize their CTR, unless perhaps Google feels the strategies would be open to abuse by fraudsters.

On the other hand, it could simply be Google hyping up some less known but far from revolutionary Adsense optimisation techniques.
